I looked on google for an affordable draftsman, and one of the first with good reviews was SKD. I called and connected with Shawn. I was concerned that he was located in Vernal, and our project was in Salt Lake City, that it would be an inconvenience for the project, but Shawn came out within a day or two and got most of the measurements he needed and was able to produce a set of drawings for MEP engineers to use, and also for city review. We ran into a couple of snags, as happens with any project, and Shawn was able to address them with his architect partner, Malcolm. We were able to resolve all the issues, and overall it went well. Shawn was open to feedback about things that I needed from him, and very responsive to concerns and changes (which isn't always the case with designers I've dealt with in the past). My experience with SKD was a little rough a couple times, but in the end, Shawn showed up and made me feel like he heard me and the owner of the project. This was his first job in a little while, and we just had to knock a little rust off. In conclusion, I am happy with my choice to use SKD, and will use their services again. Shawn and Malcolm were very attentive to mine and the customer's needs (at an affordable price at that).
